Defining your content diet

Designing Social InterfacesDashboard › Defining your content diet

We all have content diets that fluctuate over time. I spend a lot of time online so I have a tendency to visit the same websites and participate in the same discussions. I buy magazines and newspapers periodically, watch a lot of documentary film, and read a lot of non-fiction. Consumption habits traditionally revolve around personal interests and the need to stay current on certain topics.

Write a paragraph or two on the types of content you consume on a regular basis and why. This could include magazines, television, movies, music, websites, newspapers, textbooks, etc. We'll then discuss tools like RSS, Atom, content aggregators, and social bookmarking which can enhance how we receive content and stay informed.
