Destination: Interaction 10
This week I’m flying south to attend Interaction 10 in Savannah, Georgia. This is my first IxDA conference and my first time visiting Savannah. I finally started checking out the conference schedule, and I thought I’d share a few presentations that caught my eye:
- Tangible Interface Prototyping with the Tinker Toolkit by Massimo Banzi
- Designing for Solitude by Ben Fullerton
- New Interactions with News by Alexis Lloyd
- Open source design by Tom Igoe
- The 40 Year Old Tweet by Richard Banks
- The Human Interface by Christopher Fahey
- Frames: Notes on Improvisation and Design by Liz Danzico
- Meaningful Innovation Relies on Interaction and Service Design by Nathan Shedroff
- Talk to me by Paola Antonelli
- Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability by Ezio Manzini
- The Future or Search by Peter Morville
All seem like great topics. If anyone has recommendations on Savannah hot spots let me know. I’m obsessed with coffee and books so I’ll most likely be sniffing out cafés and bookstores in the off hours. Also, if you’re headed in the same direction speak up, I’d love to meet you :)
